She grew up in Ankara and completed her primary, secondary and high school education (1984) at TED Ankara College and her medical education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (1990). After a period of work at Haseki and Çapa (IU) hospitals, she completed the Yale University Pediatrics Specialization Program (1992-1995). She earned her American Board of Pediatrics diploma the same year. Upon his return to Istanbul, she worked as a specialist physician at the Social Pediatrics/Healthy Child Polyclinic at Istanbul University School of Medicine. She has been working as a private pediatrician since 1999. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics with fellow status.

Believing that it is the right of every child and family to have a comprehensive health and developmental overview starting from infancy and to enlighten parents about development, she has taken part in the activities of social organizations such as AÇEV, TEGV and the Child Health Association for parents and professionals as a consultant and educator. She has given child health courses as a guest lecturer at Boğaziçi University Faculty of Education. During the 2001-2002 broadcasting periods, she prepared and conducted the program “Güzel Günler: Çocuklu Hayat için Büyüklere Rehber” (A Guide to Adults for Children) on Açık Radyo together with Yankı Yazgan, and has been a guest and consultant on various health and education programs broadcast on TV.
