Dr. Yankı Yazgan (1959), who specializes in child/adolescent and adult psychiatry, has continued his education and research studies as a professor at Marmara University School of Medicine and as a lecturer at Yale Child Study Center. He spent his childhood and youth in Izmir. The institutions where he received his education were Bornova Anatolian High School (secondary), Ankara Science High School, Ege Faculty of Medicine (medicine), Marmara Faculty of Medicine (specialization, psychiatry) and Yale Faculty of Medicine (super-specialization, child and adolescent psychiatry). His clinical practice and scientific research focus areas are the diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders and the application of multimodal treatments. He has written "popular science" based articles and books, as well as numerous national and international refereed scientific journal articles and book chapters, aiming for everyone to understand and use the information in the fields of brain sciences and psychiatry.
